Oregon has been treating us well. We have pretty well adjusted to apartment life I think. We have been on a few hikes and seen a few lakes and just visited the coast last weekend. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive over to Brookings, which is where we stayed. We spent Friday evening on the beach just walking and picking up rocks and sea weed as the sun was going down. We camped at Harris Beach State Park which is a really nice camping area. They have running water, hot water, flushing bathroom facilities and showers. There are a lot of camp sights and they are set up with one right next to the other, but they are each surrounded by bushes and trees so it's still pretty private. We got up on Saturday and went back down to the beach. It was low tide so there we got to see starfish, anemone's, crabs, clams and some minnows. The girls mostly liked playing in the sand. We drove up the coast to Gold Beach that afternoon and stopped there to eat some fresh salmon and halibut. It was so good. We stopped at a few sceninc overlook areas and then drove home that evening. We passed by some big Red Wood trees on our way and got excited for our up coming Fourth of July trip. We are planning to drive down to the Red Woods then.
Yesterday I took the girls to Kids Imagination Discovery Space. It's a non-profit organization and it's just this huge building that is set up inside for kids ages 1 -7. They have all different stations with games and toys and activities geared to kids and they have a play place outside with a big playground. The girls loved it. We got a three month membership so we will be going there atleast once a week.

This past year has been spent planning and saving for a summer internship at Erickson Aircrane in Medford, Oregon. About a year and a half ago they sent a recruiter to Utah State to do a presentation and interview possible internists. Dan didn't interview with them at that time, but it started him thinking about internships. At first we didn't think it was possible, but then we decided to set some goals and make it happen. We had to prepare in so many ways and even when we were pulling out of our driveway there were still so many unknowns. But the Lord has blessed us so much. He magnified our efforts and we surpassed our goals in almost every area. As we were pulling out of the drive way we couldn't believe we were actually on our way. We were achieving a goal we've been working toward all year.
